How effective is it? And how much more helpful is it to have survey 4? Thanks.

Survey1 isn't very effective. Either go up to at least 2 or just don't take the skill at all. Waste of skillpoints. Survey 4 is really helpful if you move harvesters around a lot.

don't know how applicable it is but there is some food out that may make up for the lack of a box or two of survey. gives you + to your survey skill.... it would be ideal to pick up about +25 in surveying skill tapes but that will never happen.

Really? Seems to be food for anything. Know of any vendors that carry the survey food? Thanks.

If you can't find a vendor in your area, do a search for a master chef and request it? If you can't find one like that, perhaps the Chef forums will work out. Too bad you aren't on kette..I know a great master chef

the food to increase your survey ability is called Chandad. my master chef alt, KMadness, has only survey 1, but when she eats the (non-BE-enhanced) chandad she made, it's enough to geta 128m range on the survey tools. so as far as i'm concerned, it's definitely worth trying to find that food to help you survey.
