1. If I get Novice Artisan, and go up the tree to get one vendor, drop a vendor, then drop artisan, will I keep the vendor? Can I still use it?
2. Is there any way for a non-artisan to own or operate a vendor?
I ask because I'm a Master Ranger that will have Master Heavy Swordsman for hunting and I wanted to sell crates of camps, traps, conceal, and organic resources from a vendor. I just don't have to skill points to go 0 0 3 0 in Artisan.

Just be aware that not many merchants agree that people should be able to drop merchant/artisan after you have placed a vendor and still have an operational vendor and have called for this to change.
What would happen to existing vendors whose owners no longer have the skills if this is implemented is unknown.

I agree and was thinking about that after I got my answer. At first I thought, wouldn't it be great if I could just buy a vendor from an Artisan.I thought, "Why isn'tthat allowed?". Then I realized, what would be the point of being a Master Merchant? I agree with your analysis and will not do this. Thanks again for the replies.

Also... only the owner of the vendor can operate it, so you would not be able to buy one from someone else... you have to have the skill to place it
