I'm just starting out, Artisan 2-0-1-2 on Corellia,Infinity, and I can never seem to find the same resource twice . Is this a bug ?
For example: I survey for a steel called Durabarico (something like that). found a good amount 85% or so. Sample about 200 then save the waypoint. Leave the game.
When I go back in game I go to the waypoint. Open my survey tool, -but- now Durabarico is not on the list so I cant survey it/sample it. I can look for a different steel but that means going to a different location and starting again.
I was hoping that once I'd found a resource I could keep going back to get more.
Are the resources in the survey tool generated randomly.
Please Help its starting to annoy me,and if resources keep disappearing I'll have nothing left to sample for.

How long is it between when you log in and out on the same resource? How many times have you replicated this? Resources do deplete and it might be that you got one that depleted between sessions.

There's more in depth threads on this, but here's the basics.
A named resource will "spawn" in the galaxy. It may appear on one planet or several. It will last for a period of time, 7-10 days seems about average. Then it will disapear, never to be seen a gain. Every day when you check your tools you'll see some old resources have gone away, and some new ones have appeared.
