Thread: Un-used experimentation points?

I'm a master Artisan, and when I craft weapon powerups, using all the experimentation point spaces available, I end up with extra un-used experimentation points. Am I doing something wrong or is that supposed to happen?

Also, how rare is a powerup with 5 stat bonuses? I actually made one yesterday, and thinking it might be rare I made it into a schematic for later production. It's stats are like this, but I can't remember the exact stats that are increased, just the numbers:

+32

+16

+10

+5

+5

It's a stock for ranged weapons.

How many experimantation points you can use on any given item is determined by the relative value of the needed stat(s) on the resource you are using. Say for example you are making somthing that needs OQ. If you use a resource that has 500 OQ, you will only be able to experiment that item up to 50% in the experiment bar. You may have more points available, but with that resource you have hit the experimentation max. Look at the resources you are using, they may be limiting how much you can experiment on your powerups.

One more thing, if you are playing a human, they get +1 artisan experimentation points by default. You may be experimentating all the way possible, and the extra point isn't needed. I don't remember if the current experiment max is 99% or 100%, but you can't go above that, if you hit the 99% or 100% point with 10 points (or 9), the extra one isn't needed.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
