Thread: Rare melee powerups

To any long time weaponsmiths or artisans who make melee powerups....I'm curious to know how hard is it now to get melee powerups with 4 enchancements. I remember when I was a crafter "way back when" I could experiment my powerups and easily get 3 enhancements and randomly get 4 every 20+ attempts.


The reason I ask this is that I've been wondering why I haven't seen any of the powerups that increase 4 stats. IT's like noone makes them or feel they have any value. I know that the percentages on them tend to be very low and I understand how the percentages work.....but they would be great for those players who are grinding xp. I recently found a vendor on Ahazi server where it had about 4 crates of melee powerups that had 4 ehancements on them.....first I've seen since I use to craft them.Although back then I thoughtthey were worthless anddidn't make a schematic so I destroyed them because thepercentages were too low. Anyway, have they been taken out completely or is the one I found somehow an exploit.

I tend to make max dam/max min melee powerups (Makes three modifiers) and if i get a fourth mod thats ok with me but its not a must. It's not hard to make 4 modded powerups though if you dont care for wath type of mods it is.

4-mod melee powerups are "uncommon" to get, but not impossible. I produce them from time to time, but it can take several dozen attempts before one appears. And potentially several hundred attempts before getting the combo. I want. Recently had someone request a mind cost/speed melee powerup. I wanted to get a third damage mod in there too. So I spent an hour or so trying to get it. And then by luck got a 33% mind cost, 16% speed, 8% min damage, 6% max damage combo. The customer was thrilled. (And so was I)


Also, I'm presently carrying a 5-mod melee powerup too, but it's not a *great* combo. 5-mods are very rare. So even if it's not the best combo, it's still worth locking into a schematic.

I made some I'm selling (and using) now that is:

MaxDam +16.33

HealthCost +33.16

AttackSpeed +2.45

MinDam +4.8


I destroy alot when making P Ups to get ones with 3 or 4 attributes. I've never hit a 5 attribute one yet.

If your a master artisan and experiment the powerup 1 point at a time. then getting 3 stats is fairly possible and 4 sometimes obtainable. I sell 100's of powerups a week on my server and i stick with the good old 2 stater's 33%/16% is good. in my estimation the 3rd stat % is negligable and the 4th basicly useless....

oh and by the way i once made some with 5 stats.. they didnt' sell well at all in fact i still have some of that run.

I currently have 5 mod melee powerups for sale in bazaar

I have found that they can tend to get more modes if you experiment one point at a time, and especially if one of the experiments is a failure...

I got a few crates of 5 stat melee pwups on my vendor


I find its not too hard to get them if you got the time to pick at it.... like I do
