Hi, I was wondering if a Master Artisan can make lots of money with only his Artisan skills and if yes, how?

why dont you try and find out. it all depends on what artisan skill you decided to use to make money. surveying is a great way to make money. and you can usually makea good buck on selling vehicles...but i think its the specialized crafters that make the most money compared to an artisan.

I think you can if you play your cards right:
-Swoops: repair bug is long fixed, so disabled bike=dead bike now.....And since pub 9.2 a lot of bikes have died to NPC's too lol
-Pups: Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to find a vendor which is ALWAYS stocked with viable pups?
-food: good exo protien cake and K18 (and stuff I don't even know too I guess) are waiting to be discovered by the masses
-99.999 repair kits
-droid batteries
-harvesting resources...(fusion business on the side?)
......
Try to set up relations with other elite crafters who need artisan stuff (most don't have 4400 in artisan anymore) -> major source of income
My advise, try to open at least two vendor, keep em stocked real good, and start an advertisement campaign

A master artisan can make a ton just off some really high CD metal. I make 100s of thousands off the bazaar selling 14+ tools. The food/chem and generic seem to sell the best. I sell themat 3k per. There is very little resources in them and you can egt a factory run that will last a long time selling on the bazaar.

for me, I don't make ALOT of money, but I do make money.
Speeders
Bone Armor
Power-ups
Tools (repair etc)
these are the things I make money on.
Power-up/tools/armor sell better on the public vendors.. find that naboo and tatooine on my server are good places (mos eisley & theed).. beside the public vendor I sell the crates on MY vendor for 2-300 less....
as for bikes, I sell then out of my house for 10-16-20 k and they are steady...
You will have dry weeks where you sell nothing, but by month end you will see a bit of green left over (as long as you make sure you cover your costs)

Crates of swoops seem to sell well on my vendor. I sell singles and crates of 5 and 10, and they go like hotcakes. I have another 190 running through my factory as we speak. I charge 32k per.

Hello green_hornet,
I didn't make a healthy amount of profit for ~3 weeks after becoming Master. For me, it all changed when I joined an active player city (with at least 2 PvP guilds) and started talking to the residents about what they want to see most on my vendor.
* Swoops
* 99.9 Armor, Weapon, and Clothing Repair Tools (in approximately this order)
* +Max and Min Damage Ranged Power-Ups
* +Rng and Dmg Melee Power-ups
* 14+ Tool Effectiveness Crafting Tools (Food and Chemical seems to be more popular than most)
The only item that needs Master is the Swoop. The rest you can make with High-Quality resources (999 CD for the 99.9 Repair Tools and 14+ Crafting Tools).
To me, 1 million credits in the bank is "a lot of money" and I made this selling the above items.
Good Luck,
-D

I am a Master Artisan only, and have made well over 25 million credits (small amount compared to the elite professions I'm sure), selling items like repair kits, vehicles, resources, etc. Resources are your best bet, some can fetch anywhere from 10-300 cpu depending on how high the stats are, and how long it has been off the server. Armorsmiths are your best customers by the way. If youfind agood high quality resource, harvest the heck out of it and sit on it for a week or two. Even longer in some cases...
Nitch products like Repair Kits, Power-ups, Crafting Tools are good money makers as stated above, they require very few resources and can sell for profits in the range of 100-200 cpu. I tend to steer away from vehicles as a source of income due to the extremly high resource costs associated with their production, vs. the price that people will pay. I make them, but don't depend on them. I sell them at 15k, 20k, and 25k, but they tend to sit on the shelves for a long time before selling one.

Where are you folks placing your vendors? I've noticed that some people sell exactly the same things but differ greatly on their profits. I'm in the category of not making much. I'mgoing to pick up my vendor and move to coronet (vendors were in dantooine near mining outpost to appeal to the richer folks).
I need some ideas on where to move my vendor - heh.

I don't think it is all about location. I think it is more about advertising and stocking. If you keep a good product stocked all the time you will get alot of business off of repeat customers. Make good use of the bazaar and everytime you sell an item send a thank you letter with your vendor waypoint. Post your vendor location in the trade forum describing your stock. Advertise advertise

Yeah. I probably should also tell you that I sell repair kit crates. Problem is though it's hard finding 990+ conductivity resources. So I wind up crafting 92-97%. I've underpriced them to 15k a crate for 25 kits but it still sells pretty slowly (using advertising 3).
I didn't think a 2-7% difference could adversely effect profits this much. I used a 92% repair kit and it didn't seem much different from a 99% one.
I don't know, any thoughts?
