Thread: Grind Blah Blah, I am a living macro.
/open crafting tool;
/select item.name("Bofa Treat");
/<enter>;
/add.resource("Wheat");
/add.resource("Fruit");
/<enter>;
/<enter>;
/<enter>;
/pause 15;
/loop 1000;
I was actually asking about this the other day...
Is there a macro system in-game you can use for sampling with loops and/or pauses?
I didn't see anything -and I can understand why they'd leave one out. I can probably rig up something with my belkin speedpad.... POW!
You don't HAVE to grind. I was about 5000 xp away from Novice Weaponsmith when I logged out last night, and I haven't been grinding at all. I've been too busy selling my weapons to grind.
I've been selling to a great many people. I've sold items on the Bazaar, and I've stood in Theed shouting my Sales macro. I've been selling 28-57 dmg 3.5 speed CDEF weapons at 250 credits each. I've had people who have previously bought my weapons come back for newer ones, and they keep asking me to let them know when I make Weaponsmith.
your market is out there.... it's up to you to findit beforesomeone else does.
nope didnt work ether...
im getting
no such mood,command,chat: <enter
x4
and i shout outloud
add resource fruit
add resource weath
wich it would work ;p
Um, in case you didn't know, it's not a real macro.
There are no macro commands for crafting, and there never will be. The devs don't want to encourage grinding. You don't have to grind unless you are in some huge hurry to advance. I made it to Eng 3 without grinding because I was selling almost everything I made (unless experimentation went bad).
The macro language has no looping. It's not a programming language.
No to say anything about if you take a few levels of merchant you can get ads and the such to help find your business.

Yeah but who are you selling your weapons to?
Selling at the market is a slow hit or miss prospect, crafting weapons is slow xp and even slower Uxp, and for a well experimented weapon (the only ones I dont destroy) its hard to relate to the buying masses that there is a difference between my experimented one at 200c and the lower powered non-experimented ones for 50c.
I must admit that when I'm searching for stuff to buy on the market, I rarely look at the seller's description (the one place I found to get my information out to the customer) its difficult when that description, or a scaled down version doesnt show up on the main selection screen.
I have wanted since early beta to become an adventuring surveyor. I would roam the outer planets by myself or with a small group, looking for hard to find resources for private paying customers. This seems to be falling by the wayside with resources easier to get and nobody buying. I realize that this is still early on in the process, but so far I'm wavering on what to focus on.

Yes of course there is a macro system in game. If you decide your soul-searching allows you to use it, mine does, this is what you would do for sampling:
/stand;/sample;/pause 400;/stand;/sit;/pause 300;/stand;
/sample;/pause 400;/stand;/sit;/pause 300;/stand;
-remap your chat copy and chat paste keys to something like <cntrl shift c> and <cntrl shift v> and paste
these lines until you run out of room.
There are other more devious things you can do with these macros, but I will leave that for you all to play with and discover.
I use mine to sample while I craft new items to sell on the bazaar, or while I'm sitting in a camp. Its all good!
Macros can suck the life out of the game for you, or if done right, can turn the game into a new experience! Use if wisely!
