Ok, this might sound dumb to you all. But if they existed, I would buy many.

I want a wooden plaque to put my fish on.

I have become an avid fisherman in the game and rather than just nail my fish to the wall (thanks for the Move up/down Dev's !!!).

I would like to be able to craft a wood plaque that requires some amount of wood, metal and a fish. I can then name my plaque to read something like "Dathomir Blowfish - 6 Pounds3/15/04".

I masters can craft birdcages, but there's no birds in them. This would be a much more useful item.

Ok, maybe make it capable of holding just about anything. So if you have a favorite Weapon that you just destroyed on the 5'th repair you could add that to the schematic and have a plaque with a t-21 rifle on it that reads "My beloved Rifle, may it rest in peace".

Sound dumb? I hope not, because I would really love to see this type of "art object" brought into the game. Hopefully at a low enough level so that artisans with something like 2/2/2/2 can make them.

i like it. definatley agree on the move up thing, thats all i did last night!

anyways..

yeah whats with the bird cage, total waste of time. whats the commands for fishing btw, it has never made any sense to me.

there could be a few types of frame at different levels, they could add a loot function to killed creatures to get a trophy, like a skull or actual hide (not like the resource, more like a rug type thing)

then we could add the loot in the crafting stage and it would make a nice wall mounted rancor head etc.

or do you think the item should be added afterwards.

museum owners would like this one im sure

I think you raise a few good questions on how to persue it.

First, do you need the object to place on the plaque during tha actual crafting? Or can it be added later. This brings up a problem of naming. I don't want to buy "generic wall plaque" and when anyone examines it, or mouseovers it that's all they see, or inevitably "Joe Artisan's Great Shop - Tatooine 4300 -2300"

I'd like the mouseover label to be set (one time only) when "applying" the loot to the plaque. I think there could be different plaques as you suggest. And each plaque would have to be for a specific purpose. Such as a plaque just for fish, or a plaque just for rifles.

As for placing the heads or skulls of creatures, my best guess is that if you're a master scout, you should get another option on the radial when harvesting a creature, which would be an option to "skin" it where an artisan or architect could turn the skin into a rug. You could also choose to take it's head, where you could then give it to the artisan/architect to apply the head to the plaque.

I would think that the fish plaque would come at the same level of artisan as the fishing pole (novice? sorry I actually am an artisan/novice merchantbut didn't pay attention to when I got what schematics).

So I think it would be important that the person that is going to "use" the plaque (one time only use) you would choose what object you are placing on the plaque and then assign a name to the plaque. This would not require any artisan skills. The only artisan skill was to create the empty plaque in the first place.

As for having life sized "stuffed" creatures, I think the BE profession has that well under control now.

So then after we have our fish plaques and rancor heads hanging on the wall with a nice dathomir leather couch on our King Gurk hide rug, we just need architects to craft us a fireplace and we can complete the ultimate hunting lodge theme room.

As for the fishing, my step son taught me how, it was pretty simple when I realized that you have to actually wait fora bite and just sitting there spamming tug up, tug left and tug right does nothing more than make your bait soggy...
