Thread: A quick suggestion for harvesters

How many times has this happened to you?

You found a great resource patch, plunked down your harvester, and dumped enough power and credits into it to keep it running for weeks. You then go about your business for a few days.

Upon checking back with your little mining buddy, you discover it's shut off and the hopper is still basically empty... because the resources shifted an hour after you parked it there and you had no way of knowing. You've now lost three days' worth of maintenance and have nothing to show for it.

Sure, you may be one of those guys who knows exactly when the resources are gonna move... or you may say "check it daily like the rest of us"... but not all of us have the time, inclination, or ability to do that.

So, what I'd like, isto receive an E-mail when my harvester is no longer able to mine its current resource. Tell me it's drained/dried up/shifted/whatever, so I know it'sjust sitting there like a lump eatingup my finances. We get one when it's decaying due to lack of maintenance, we should get one when it's sitting idle like this, too.

Thoughts?

A good idea IMO and has cropped up on these boards before. I'd love it to happen, it would save me alot of time. Not sure it will though, still maybe if we all screamed for it like 'we' all did for the crafting experimentation changes to be reverted, then maybe it will.......

SWGCraft.com I couldn't be a crafter without it. Has lists of all resources on all planets on all servers. Dosen't update imediatly (its player updated) up usually has less than a day lag time. In general if I see a resource has been on a planet for 6 days, its gonna leave soon and I don't bother getting it.

Like Owako said. When I need a resource I check swgcraft.com I find one that has just spawned and drop the harvesters there. That being said, I agree that an Email notification would be a nice feature and would love to see it implemented.
