I need to find a deposit of sechagi to fullfill my game-lifelong ambtion of being able to craft bowcasters (need it for my factory to run)
After a little digging I've discovered its a lubricating oil, but no matter where I survey, I never get the chance to choose it in my surveying list.
My question is this:
Is the list of available resources to survey dictated by skill level or whether or not the resource exists in the immediate area?
I ask because I've spent the last 3 weeks going from skill to skill, trying to get all the pre-requisites to manufacture, and every time I think I;ve cracked it, I find I need to do something else! I realise Bowcaster manufacture should be tricky, but I've been up so many blind alleys, I dont want to spend 2 days maxing out surveying if all I need to do is find a sechagi rich vein on corellia, regardless of survey skill level.
Alternatively, is there a way to make my factory accept another type of lubricating oil? I've currently got a station on an 82% vein of oil, if I could make my factory accept THAT resource, I;d be laughing!
(Free bowcaster to anyone who's advise has me crafting within 10 minutes of reading the post!!)

BTW, honestly, I've searched the forum (before I get whacked with a on faq reading bat!), just cant seem to find an answer- or any sechagi!!

You won't see it on your survey tool unless it's available at the time. If it shifts in, you should find it. You can also check www.SWGcraft.com to see if it is current. Not sure about the other servers, but SWGcarft is usually up-to-date for Starsider listings.

I ran a search on SWGcraft, and it is only present on Chimeara right now, appears to be live on all planets. Hope you are on that server...

A quick check of my sources (www.swgcraft.com) tells me that you must be on the Chimaera server, and that Sechagi was last available 11 days ago. All available resources on a planet will show up on your survey device regardless of skill level. The Sechagi is unlikely to show up again for a long time. I don't know how long, but I've been playing for over a month and have yet to see any resource appear twice in that time. There is no way of getting a factory to accept a different resource (if there is, I want to know about it!). Your best bet is to try and find somebody who has a supply of Sechagi and try and buy some from them. The Chimaera trade forum is probably the best place to do this.

If its not listen on swgcraft.com its in all probability not on your server. You can go in the trade forums and ask to buy some, or just wait. Thoes are your own options really.
