I'm sure this has been up for discussion before, so sorry if i'm just reviving an already settled discussion.
I would love to see more than hit points on vehicles.
What if3 new stats for vehicles were added:
- Top Speed
- Acceleration
- Terrain Negotiation
Dont know how useful acceleration is, but the other two would make races much more fun i think 
One could also add subcombines for even higher stats, like you do on crafting stations.
I know it's unrelated, but on the Smuggler forum i saw one suggesting Smugglers be able to slice vehicles for higher speeds, which i thought was kinda cool

The main thing I would like to see as a Master Artisan is the ability to REPAIR vehicles. Seems funny that we can make them but not fix them. Weaponsmiths, Armorsmiths and Tailors can fix their products so why can't we?

Its a great idea to have stats for speeders, so when some one buys a speeder deed it should say on the deed the hitpoints, speed etc, I don't know about acceleration tho, so forces artisans to use top quailty resouces instead of cheap stuff.
Another point i want to make is to get rid of the hitpoint losses every time we store or get our bikes out, damage should only be done if the speeders are attacked.

And when we drive them, which produces wear and tear on the vehicle
But yeah,acceleration was probably a stupid idea, terrain negotiation i think is ok though. And all stats should definately show on the deed, like they do on droids

I read this at some point when vehicles were just released in regards to decay... Decay is like fuel, the more you take out and use your vehicles the more the vehicle loses Health ...fuel... except if your fuel runs dry your vehicle blows up ....any ways ...since swoops are the fastest ...one could say they consume the most amount of fuel... reason why they decay at a higher rate... only bad thing is that besides that being factored in, it also decays via wear and tear and if it gets attacked by a PC or NPC ...so all in all I think Decay should be a lot slower ( unless something attacks your ride) and there should be a fuel source that is needed to keep them all running... this would replace the standard decaythat happens over time from just regular use....

I agree on the decay and storing your vehicle. I also think, aside from hit points, the deed should actually SHOW you what the vehicle looks like. I want a car dealership!!!! I need a showroom, where i can put out vehicle deed and the vehicle's shape is visible.The droids' deeds now actually portray the droid itself - i.e. a blue and white R2 unit (not the generic tile-looking deed thing). Why can't we have the same for vehicles?
I sell Master Artisan stuff at an enclosedmarket, and it's be NICE to be able to bust out a Swoop deed and have it LOOK like a Swoop, to attract attention.
So, a few things I'd like to see for vehicle enhancements:
1) Increase hit points, reduce decay, anything to avoid paying 4000+ to repair my swoop every few days. It's annoying.
2) Make deeds show hit points/durability for a vehicle, like the droid deeds display stats.
3) Make vehicle deeds actually look like vehicles - just like how droid deeds now work. I would use this for vehicle display purposes. If I sell vehicles, I should be able to have a showroom.
4) Customization of vehicles at creation would also be nice, to make someone's swoop NOT generic colored always. Once again (see the theme? heh) just like how droid deeds work.
Pretty much, do to vehicles what was done to droid deeds. It would make things a ton better.

I would like vehicles to be different ... almost every craftable item has some sort if quality. I know vehicles has hitpoints, but no speed ?
What about HP was determined by Shock Resistance, as it is now. Speed determined by Conductivity. And Terrain Negotiation determined by Unit Toughness.
Swoops should still be slightly faster than speederbikes, and speederbikes faster than landspeeders.
For example: At 60% experimentation swoops would go 50 km/h, while landspeeder would go 40 km/h. The same should go for HP and Terrain Negotiation.
I would also like to see vehicles with optional components. Like with crafting station you improve the quality significantly by putting in those modules. Ideal optional components would be Micro Sensor Suites and Electronic GP Modules.
All of this would make races ALOT more fun than they are now
