Thread: please help out a starving artisan (not really starving, but i could use some advise)
oh, and another quick question, i realize that certain professions require resources to produce goods, and in some of those professions, people would rather buy resources than harvest them themselves. In what quantity do people like to buy resources in the most? They don't want to much and not too little, so to those who have first hand experience, what quantities do you buy your resources in, assuming that there are no bargains and everything costed the same. thanks
Here's a quick rundown of what you probably want to do:
- Make high end Powerups and sell by the crate
- Make vehicles and sell
- Make some personal harvesters of all the various types
- Form relationships with Weaponsmiths and Architects to make your Master Artisan items they use (Power Conditioners, Control Units, etc....)
- Resources: Learn what each Elite crafting tree needs (High OQ/CD Metals for Weaponsmiths for instance) and mine those whenever possible. A good place to find what crafters need to make things are the schematic trees on swgcraft.com
- MOST IMPORTANT: Get yourself affiliated with a high visibility mall in a high traffic area (Coronet, Theed, Bestine and anywhere else on your server that there are tons of people).
That should get you started on the right foot and as much as you said you keep to yourself I would highly recommend joining a PA so you could either put your vendors in their mall (and also sell resources to their crafters) but they could also help you level other skills also.
Gonna give you some advise that few want to follow.
Get a high conductivity spawn of polysteel copper or diatum, something high in conductivity.
Make ARMOR REPAIR, WEAPON REPAIR and CLOTHING REPAIR kits. Sell them for 3k each. You will never be broke again.
