i am a master artisan and droid engineer 0-0-0-1. I have always kept to myself when playing and i know little about many aspects of playing SWG. I was wondering, with my skills, what products could i produce that people, you, actually use and buy. I am asking you, seasoned veterans and in-game economy experts to tell me some items you use and need, and that would sell. Also, what bazaars are the best for keeping up to date with the changing supply and demand curve of the galaxy. Where do you go to buy your bazaar items. I have seen cities out in the desert that are deserted and bustling metropolises with flooded and competative markets, and i want to know simply where do you go to buy your items, what do you buy, and how much, as of now, do you like to pay?

Also, and extra tips about crafting or selling would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

oh, and another quick question, i realize that certain professions require resources to produce goods, and in some of those professions, people would rather buy resources than harvest them themselves. In what quantity do people like to buy resources in the most? They don't want to much and not too little, so to those who have first hand experience, what quantities do you buy your resources in, assuming that there are no bargains and everything costed the same. thanks

Here's a quick rundown of what you probably want to do:

  • Make high end Powerups and sell by the crate

  • Make vehicles and sell

  • Make some personal harvesters of all the various types

  • Form relationships with Weaponsmiths and Architects to make your Master Artisan items they use (Power Conditioners, Control Units, etc....)

  • Resources: Learn what each Elite crafting tree needs (High OQ/CD Metals for Weaponsmiths for instance) and mine those whenever possible. A good place to find what crafters need to make things are the schematic trees on swgcraft.com

  • MOST IMPORTANT: Get yourself affiliated with a high visibility mall in a high traffic area (Coronet, Theed, Bestine and anywhere else on your server that there are tons of people).

That should get you started on the right foot and as much as you said you keep to yourself I would highly recommend joining a PA so you could either put your vendors in their mall (and also sell resources to their crafters) but they could also help you level other skills also.

That last point of Aelei's is HUGE.

I recently moved my powerup vendor into the busiest mall in the galaxy. My powerups have always been the best you can make- 33/16 and almost always 3-4 attributes.

Before going to the mall, I charged 750 per crate and sold maybe a dozen crates a day.

I stocked my mall vendor up on Monday with over 500 crates at 1250cr.

Today I had under 50 crates left.

I'm fighting like crazy to avoid raising the price again, but if sales stay that brisk, I'm going to have to do it or risk having an empty vendor...

what are the prerequisites to being able to make the highest end weapon powerups? I am a master artisan, and i tried to make a powerup and it only lowered attribute cost by a couple. Do you have to be a weaponsmith?

Gonna give you some advise that few want to follow.

Get a high conductivity spawn of polysteel copper or diatum, something high in conductivity.

Make ARMOR REPAIR, WEAPON REPAIR and CLOTHING REPAIR kits. Sell them for 3k each. You will never be broke again.
