I was wondering if heavy extractors take more than one lot? Just wanted to know cause they cost a bit more than the mediums. And if they take 2 lots....do they pull as much as two mediums?

nope, they cost more to run however. not sure about the power cause i use power like its water.

to me heavy harvesters are worth the investment only if you find a concentration around 80-90+% and really i only use89%+. i want it to work at its near its maxBER if not then its a waste to me.i can find a new player and pay him to placeeight personal harvesters over aspot thats 70% ish. those all will extract at around 3, if they are ber 4. basically i would have aber 24 going. pay the *new player* for renting for2 days and you could easily get 100k of someresource using this method. let him keep the harvesters as a gift as they arent really worth picking up yourself.

if you find a good spot of something, place the heavy guys on it. if you are just desperatefor a particular resource, place a few small guys on the job but dont use your lots, use someone elses.

I was wonder why I see so many medium harvs around. I mean I know they are cheaper to run, but I didn't realize the actual cost/maintenece difference.

The most efficient harvester is the medium. Heavies cost 50% more in maintenance and power, but yield only 23.1% more in extraction capacity. If power and maintenance costs (no to mention acquisition costs) are meaningless to you, go with heavies. Otherwise BER 10 mediums are a good way to go.
