The Landspeeder looks like 2 people can ride at once. We all know the main reason for this not being the case has to do with timing problems. Keeping 2 clients and the server in time together. How about this instead?

Allow our pets to ride with us.

Creature handlers can bring their pets along for the ride and not have to make them run.

Allow NPC Pets (Stormtroppers) to ride along with their commanding officer.

I don’t think these would cause any timing issues because it is just your client and the server. They don’t even have to show the pets in the passenger seat though it would be great if they could. It would be pretty funny seeing a guy and his pet rancer driving through Anchorhead.
