Is there a way to get more exp taking samples? All I can get is like 29-40 exp but I fail more then succed. I am at level 3 on the tree. HELP

The only way you can improve the rate you get experience at is to move to a higher concentration. The higher the concentration, the more likely it is you will get a sample and the larger it will be.

No, you can't increase your level of XP very much. I believe the XP is determined by how much you extract and that's a random number. The only thing you can do to increase your success rate is to find a higher concentration.

What I normally do to avoid running all over creation to find a 90% concentration is the following:

Make sure you have one of every type of survey tool in your inventory.

Set the range on all of your survey tools to their max level.

Start using one of the survey tools (I usually start with mineral, but that's just me.). Once you open up your first survey tool find the first resource on the list and survey for it. If you don't see at least an 80% concentration, move down to the next resource and survey for it.

Repeat the previous step until you find a 90% concentration. If you run out of resources to survey for on that tool, move on to your next tool and do exactly the same thing with it. If you can get anything to make your mind recharge faster (brandy, canape, entertainer buffs) that will make this go even faster.

Once you find a concentration that is high enough for you, plant yourself on it and start your survey macro.

Using the above method I have never failed to find a 90+% concentration within a city. At all times there usually at least 25 different resources on every planet. The odds are at least one of them will have a nice concentration near you wherever you are.

What I found is that the amount of exp you get is determined by the amount you sampled the previous time.

If you sample 5 and get 21exp. If you sample 6 or more on your next sample, your exp goes up. If you sample less the exp goes down.

This is the way it seemed to me.

The consentration diddn't seem to have an effect on the exp. All it did is increase or decreasethe amount sampled.

On a high consentration, if you sample 5 you will get 21exp. On a low consentration if you sample 2 you will get 21exp. On the low consentration, it is very hard to get a 5 sample.

It was pretty even on the amout of exp I got from high and low consentrations. The only difference was the amount of sample.
