"well the ships are going to be in battle alot, maybe durability" cuz its either 1 or the other really high and the other fairly low... advice please, i want to produce a ton of them before the expansion hits

If you're talking Electronic Memory Modules, as in the ones made at Master Artisan...
I doubt there will be any use to either of them. As it stands, there is a stealth quality rating on them, but that goes for only an extremely limited number of items. 99% of the items that use EMM's it doesn't matter at all what's experimented on, if any at all.
Unless it's proven to matter, I wouldn't sweat it. It's not like anyone buying them can tell the difference anyways.

I didn't make everything in beta for SW, but I don't remember seeing anything that used the EMMs. There may be some schematics out there that do, perhaps for advanced components, but at least for the lower tier components, they weren't used from what I saw.

shipwrights dont need em.
they go into unprogrammed chips (the stuff you burn your droid programs on).
these are made by DEs.

They go for the unprogrammed stuff, yeah. But there are lots of other components that Shipwrights won't need directly, but those supplying them will.
Crafting Stations required a few different master-artisan electronics. Since there will be a run on Starship Crafting Stations (needed to make anything more than the very basic ship chassis or components), you might want to stock up now. Architects on Radiant are already making stations, in preparation for the flood of new shipwrights about to descend on the server.
