Generally, the hide/bone/meat goes for much higher cpu than resources you can pull out of the ground (or air) with a harvester. Reason being, is that the scout/ranger has to physically kill and harvest the animals to get the resources, as opposed to just letting a harviepull them.
Good animal resources go for hundreds of credits per unit. Decent/poor resources go for much less, but usually quite a bit more than what you offered. Prices vary per server, you may want to check your server trade forums to get an idea of prices for your server. Or even check the bazaar to gauge prices.

I play on bloodfin but:
Hide= 10 to 50cpu
Meat = 15 to +100cpu(Avain Meat High quality)
Bone = 5 to 25cpu
Off course low quality organics do go for less on the bazar 5 to 10cpu. But most range venders these are the normal prices.
Good luck, Creature Resource Gathering can be profitable.

ok, i've read the stickies, and maybe i'm just dense (probably), but i'm still having problems figuring out how much to pay people to buy their resources off them. for instance, i'm trying to make some bone armor to play around with experimentation and just for a suit myself, and i contact a guy who's got a couple nice stacks of hide and bone.
the bone is DR 400 Mall 446 OQ 726 SR 803 and UT 734
the hide is DR 202 Mall 118 OQ 817 SR 961 and UT 964
now, some of the numbers are pretty good but others (mall) are quite low. so i offered 3 cpu (there were about 1500 units total, so i actually offered 5k instead of 4500 so a little over 3cpu).
i'm on eclipse, don't know how much that factors in, but with these stats, was i way off? the guy i was trading with was fairly upset that as a "master artisan" (just got the title) i didn't know the exact prices of resources.
so any help would be appreciated. thanks
