i'm quite new to the whole crafting malarky
BUT i'm quite sure npc's are actually supposed to spawn when you have a mission lol, this happens when going to get the components, and dropping them off, anyone else have this trouble?

yes, it seems to be an intermitent problem and i have bugged it before, but feel free to do it again.
i used to make the eisley to anchorhead run when i needed a few extra bucks to get off-planet or something but since they changed the spawns a couple of mini-publishes ago, this has been happening.
they did it presumably to remove the hordes of npc's that would hang around after they were done being used, which should make for a faster overall game for everyone, most likely because of all the new jtl stuff.
they made this change for all delivery type missions.
ive had it happen when i went to run a few faction missions too, picked up both messages but only one person to deliver to, the other wp was vacant.
you should try delivering to others in the area, or even the same one you delivered to first. sometimes it works, somtimes not.
if there was dueling/fighting in the area sometimes the npc's run scared but will eventually go back to the mission wp.

Yes, this point initaly made me think that, but this was at 2 am, by bestine starport, it was the NPC that gives the components, near the starport spawns, literally 45M away, they just dont spawn, please fix this SOE

ive not spent much time in bestine so i dont know but i do know that in other 'imperial' towns the npcs go at it sometimes so that couldve been it.
still, try going out of range for a moment, like take a once around the town on a speeder and come back and see if the npc spawned.
i havent tried this, but at least its an option.
bug it everytime it happens untill it gets fixed. in a year or so.

Yeah, this happened to me a few times when I first started as an artisan.
I used to run crafting missions on Naboo, and many times, one out of my two missions were bugged, and there was no NPC to delivermy item to. On rare occassions, both missions were bugged, so I got zero payout. This is very annoying when you are a broke newb and every credit counts.
I submitted a bug report, didn't hear anything back though.
