I'm fairly new with the artisan profession, and maybe this is a dumb newbie question, but how exactly do you get to the experimentation screen? I get to the 3rd out of 6 screen and click 'next' and instead of going to screen 4 of 6 I go directly to screen 6 of 6. This gives me no chance to do any experimenting before creating the object. I've looked at the advanced crafting manual on the swg site but it glosses over that part and makes it look like you automatically go to the 4th screen.

Can anyone help me out? What am I doing wrong?

You need to buy or build one of the four specialty crafting tools. The generic crafting tool does not allow you to experiment and will not allow you to build an item with a complexity higher than 15. For Artisans the generic crafting tool is useless.

Also, in addition to using a specialty crafting tool you need to be standing near a crafting station that matches the type of tool you're using.

You also need to be standing next to a crafting station of the correct type for the crafting tool you are using. If you need help look in the Holocron while on line, it can help you find a crafting station.
