Just a thought on how to decrease the disparity between the classes. Make experimentation pts something that you aquire by experimentation instead of leveling. You craft something and experiment with it over and over again you gain your experimentation pts for that schematic so that noviceartisan after enough practice eventually could make his novice lvlitems competitive with the market out there but the master is still the one making the higherschematics. Same goes for whatever class of artisan it would lead to more specialization as you had to earn the pts of experimentation for what you wanted to create on an individual schematic basis instead of you have this many pts you can use on food, clothing or weapons.

Not a bad idea.
I think we are in the current situation because the devs, incorrectly, thought that players would settle for lesser quality weapons/armor/etc. Inflation is too rampant (and factories too efficient) for that to be the case.

The thing is also you can get the cash you need to buy most anything doing destroy missions (and i am mostly an artisan so I know its possible to do even if you arent a master marksman). If you made it possible for a lower level crafter to still make his goods at a quality level he has the oppourtunity to make cash and supply something usefull.
