Thread: Theory about repairing

This is probably more for Armoursmiths and Weaponsmiths but I didnt feel like posting it twice. hopefully enough of them read this board to get some kind of feedback.

I remember the first time I failed to repair something and ended up destoying it (was a chitin chest section I'd got cheap off the bazaar) and up until that point it hadnt occured to me that it might be possible to destroy something while repairing it (at worst I assumed it just wouldnt let you attempt the repair) so I was a little shocked.

Since then I'd gone on the premise that, if you could make it, then you could repair it without the risk of destruction, but a conversation I had in game a few days ago brought to light that that might not be true either.

So heres the question, has anyone ever failed to repair something (and thus destroyed it) that they were able to make at the time?

i have... but a CDEF pistol didnt really set me back that much in the runnings
