I did a search and didnt find this so excuse me if this has been discovered. BUT

I was going through the // command help and found this command.

/dumpPausedCommands

I typed it in to see what would happen and it stopped a macro i had running. I tested it again. Again it stopped the loopmacro i had running for an arrangement on one of my songs mid stream.

So there it is all. The way to stop macros, just make a macro with just /dumpPausedCommands and put it on your toolbar!

Is there a macro command that will let you choose a certain resource while crafting. I have created a macro for crafting but the only thing that I must do by hand is select the resources need to make it. Can I automate this as well? For instance I want to craft a CDEF Rifle and I need Aluminum to do it. The macro will do everything else but select the Aluminum to make it.

Macroing a few commands to limit keystrokes is one thing. Macroing so your character can get thousands of 'free' resources while you're not even at the computer is another. In one instance, you're still playing the game. In another instance you're not. If they ever allow AFK crafting I will quit the game on the spot, as will most likely everyone who has worked their way up the crafting tree. I haven't been sitting in front of my computer wearing out my index finger so some l337 d00d can come along and pass me up in2 days by writing a couple of macro commands that run while he sleeps. Anyone who actually thinks this is the way the game was meant to be played is delusional.

Yes please, let's not beat this poor dead horse again. If you want to have this discussion, just search the old posts over the last year and you'll find thousands of them, saying everything you're about to say. Seriously, trust me.

Anyway, this will be very handy, and I thank you for finding it. I I want to run a programmed routine in entertaining generally cause it's a cool routine, but then I need to stop it, now I can. Yay!

Has anyone read the License Agreement that pops up every time you start the game before you click "I Agree"? Do you know that in section 7 it states, "you may not use or distribute macros or other programs which would allow unattended game play."

Just wondering...

I doubt the developers put a rather complete macro/aliasing system into the game just so that they could boot players out of the game for using it. Get real. Using the in-game macroing system is completely and utterly legal and I applaud the person who discovered the /dumpPausedCommands command. That's going to be a big help!

Section 7 is no doubt in the License Agreement to cover 3rd party software programs that let players automate game play in a way not intended by the developers. Like the 'l337 d00d' last night who asked me if I knew of any 3rd party software programs that would let him grind from Engineer 4 to Novice Weaponsmith automagically. Talk about lazy! If Eng4-->NW is too hard for him I hate to see how he'd do trying to grind his way through the Droid Engineering skill tree! =)
