Thread: Crafting Interface Improvements Comments & Additions Welcome!
1. Let us choose a default ingredient. Say, "name x steel", for example. When you bring up the radial on selecting an ingredient you can choose either "make default steel" or choose "make default metal".
2. On the recipe screen include 2 new buttons. "Add default items" and "Add static items". The static items button willrandomly pickcrafted components, such as fiberplast panels and fill all the recipe slots with them. The default items will do the same for ingredients with a set default. If no default was set random items that meet the recipe requirements are added. This should be in addition to the current system so players can always have the option to pick and choose their own components.
3. Hitting enter is a quick way to bounce through the crafting screens but at the experimentation menu, enter will open the experimentation panel. This should be changed so that "no experimentation" is the default.
4. Remove the "Are you sure" confirmation at the end of crafting. This is redundant since it doesn't cancel the crafting session and only allows you go back to the color screen. Aside from this, if after 4 screens and countless clicks, you're not sure then somethings wrong...
5. Include a drop down to change other colors on items such as clothes. Currently, if there are 2 or more colors you can only change color 1.
6. On the recipe page, include a check box for "show summary page". The summary page is the page that follows the recipe page and shows the stats of the item you're crafting. When you click the check box off and on it will stay off or on until you change it. Most of us already know what the items are and seeing this page can be reduntant, but at times, useful.

Ctrl-O, then look under miscellaneous. There is a toggle switch for verifying crafting. Toggle it off and they are removed. Also, toggle off verify deletes when you are in heavy grinding mode. Takes out the "are you sure" for every delete. Streamlines emptying your inventory out.
how can "no experimentation" be the default? you don't want to craft high quality stuff?
if you want the interface optimized for grinding, say so - i suggest a button that says "grind in the background until all the materials in my inventory are depleted or master status is reached, whatever comes first"
That was a little unnecessarily passive aggressive and uncalled for!
