Thread: functionality rating on crafting station

I noticed you can now see the functionality rating of a crafting station, I suspect this has to do with how effective experimentation will be, but I don't know for sure.

Does anyone know how it works exactly?

And what the min/max range is, how that ends up effecting the crafting process and if it makes a significant difference?

Thanks

I have several crafting tools that I experimented to 99% and the functionality rating of the finished products is 14.73 so I am guessing the max for a tool is 15. I have a crafting station that I experimented to 86% and it has a rating of 6.?? so if I were to take a guess I would say the max on stations is probably 8 but that is purely speculation. I examined a public station thinking they would be the best quality possible but if they are there is no way to tell since apparently only player made stations reveal a functionality rating when examined.

I use a friend's crafting station, and it has a functionality rating of 14.42 so I would guess that the max for the stations is also 15. This station was made by a Master Architect.

I myself have not been able to make a crafting station over 66% effective, resulting in a -2.28 FR. I am now scouring the galaxy for high-conductivity metals.

The jury is still out if this does anything. The best crafting tools seem to be around 14.82 and stations I believe could hit 45ish with all optioins and high end materials (all over 990). The crafting stations I make hit the mid 39's. 39.44-39.77.

I have two crafting stations with an effectiveness rating of 28

This is because they include all the optional components (high quality ones. They were both experimented up to 94% (because I'm a Zabrack and dont' have that extra point that humans have.

Just noticed this too, and I've got a FEELING the effectivness rating affects critical failure rates. I'm grinding now, so when I'll post numbers when I get em. I've got 2 tools that I use, one -12% the other is +3%
