Thread: Factories and Stim B's
I got a couple quick questions about Stim B's in a factory, ive used factories, but not with multiople parts.
Im assuming I would make each component first, Then put all 3 in the output hopper and turn it on and it makes em, this brings me to the question though.
If I experiment on the components, do i need to use those exact component schematics that i used to make the original stim B schematic, in the final stim B? Or do i just need a Stim B schematic, and any components will work?
Can you put the crates of components in to the input hopper, or do i need to take em out of the crates and load em in one by one.

Okay, first you have to make a schematic of each component, thne manufacture how many you need per stim B. Making 100 Stim B's? Need 100 of each of its subcomponents. After that, make a Stim B schematic using those newly factory-made subcomponents. Then, load the factory up with all the necessary res, toss in the subcomponents, put in the schematic, and go to work.
As for leaving it in the crate or loading them one by one...I'm not sure. All the factory runs I did I loaded the subcomponents 1 by 1...which sucked.
Used to be, putting crates in the input hopper would work. I was surprised to find this wasn't even on the medic correspondants "top 75 issues"... I think it's a top 5 issue, personally.
You can't even do a run of 100 Stim-D's because the input hopper can't hold enough componets!
Not to mention the hassle.
They need to fix factories so they accept crates on the input hopper. I don't know that this effects anyone more than medic professions, since most other professions don't need to load in 400 items to do a run of 100 items.
Uh, couldn't you not be able to run 100 StimD's anyway? I mean, think about it, that would require 200 identical BEC's, but the most you can get from any one schematic is 100. That would mean the most StimD's you could make is 50.

I have had a really hard time getting this to work. I think factories are majorly bugged. I only got a factory to make me some Stim B's once, it made me 49 of them. After that, each time I tried to make something it said I was out of components. I even used components in my crates to experiment with.
It can be done, but not cost efficent until they fix factories.
Nah, the 1000 usage bug is still there (last I checked) so he could run a 200 run of BEC's.
Honestly though an input hopper of 100 and no pulling from crates? I FINALLY got my factory going and I love it! I finally got to make Stim D's and now I'm finally able to produce enough items to sell! YAY!
Now if I could make more than 30 (or so) of an item due to the no pulling from crates, I'd be estactic!
and if you could only make a run of 100 subcomponents, you would be able to make a crate of 50 stimpacksbut then a crate with one or twomissing since you have to use at least one subcomponent to make the schematic for the stimpack. Right now with the bug, I set the schematic for a run of 1000, but put in materials for 102. This way I have an extra subcomponent or two for schematic or for a critical failure when experimenting.
But then the bug about a factory only wanting to make 100 items a day crept in and stopped that. ![]()
