I recieved a mission to find metal of 69%. I found it, sampled and nothing happened. What do I have to do to make it work?

Was it from a terminal or an NPC? If an NPC I imaging you have to go back and talk to them.

You have to be at least 512 meters from the terminal you got your task from. Were you?

I usually get missions for as much as possible, before heading to check out my harvesters...out there, everything is at least half a click away from a terminal.

Actually, I have to revise what I said to say 512 meters from the terminal OR PERSON you got it from.

I got a factional survey mission from an officer I found while out and about in the wilderness. Fulfilling it got me faction points, of course, rather than credits.
