Hi fellow Artisans!

I have a question regarding becoming a master Artisan. As there is the apprenticeship requirement, you need to train a certain number of artisans to gain apprenticeship points.

Now, I have been looking around for about a week and only come across 1 other person needing artisan training. Maybe it's just the spots where I've been, but is it me, or is there indeed a shortage of new artisans?

Also, what suggestions can you give to be more visible to train others?

Thanks,

Your best bet is to sit in the hot spots, mission terminals, cantina, starport etc, for an hour or so and just shout out that you can train all artisan skills for free every once in a while.

Have Fun.

The thing that worked for me is to keep your artisan title up and make sure you look for people yelling for training (you need to respond quick or somebody else will snag those app points) I got master artisan and already have enough for two more masters titles

Obviously it depends on what server and what planet you are on, but . . . set up a macro/hotkey that shouts what you are training and that you are doing it for free just fo the apprentice XP. Just go about your business and click that hotkey button whenever you see a new batch of blue dots in your general vicinity. But not more than every few minutes - some people really get annoyed if you are spamming every 10 seconds or so. I even had some people who said they "had been there, done that" and actually untrained and then had me retrain an artisan skill several times in a row for them just so I could get some extra AXP. Most of all, start with this right away to prepare in advance if you think you will want master, don't wait until you actually need need Master since you can get AXP any time as long as you have the skill to train.

If you have not been watching for other people to teach since they day you logged in and had more that just Novice XXX, you've shortchanged yourself.

Alot of people have just ground their way thru the skill trees, ignoring anyone who wanted training for whatever reasons. "I'm too busy" "why should I give them what I paid for?" are some reasons people quote. Well, guess what. Those are the same people who are now saying "how do I get my Axp for my master?" while the rest of us, who stopped and trained those people while you kept running by, have our Axp for master.

I've goten 1 master, I have my Axp for the second, and am working on enough for my 3rd, which I expect to have by the time I learn everything else in the tree. My wife has been maxed out in AXP for over a month now, and has turned down people who want training so that other people can get the AXP.

How do I do it? I pay attention, and I know which skills I can train. So when I run thru town, and I see someone shout "can any one train me in skillxxx", I stop, and I offer to train them if I can. No matter what I'm doing. And while I've recieved several, I never ask for a tip. (thanks to everyone who was good enough to tip).
