Thread: Naming conventions
Sorry if this has already been addressed, but what naming conventions are other artisans using? Developing a standard would benefit everyone.
Tyrr
I'm assuming when you craft something, you want to know if there are any guidelines for naming your item?
No, not that I know of, unless you are involved in a large PA that wants to control things. Most folks will identify their crafts with a personal touch, though. Like "Skygent Industries CDEF Pistol"...something like that. Being creative and intelligent can only help you sell your items easier. Being goofy or ignorant will hurt in the long run.
Can anyone tell me the maximum name length as well as what characters are and arn't acceptable when naming a droid? Thanks
I cant have vendors with the words of other classes inside them,
I had a vendor I was going to Name Jenna Jamison - Master Artisan. It was declined =(
My Brianna Banks - Weapon Smith was also declined, at least for merchants. I am sure pets follow same system
You also cant have numbers in the pets name. -'s are alright, as are a bunch of others. But really, just mess around for a little while and see what works and what doesnt. Some names dont work and should, others work and shouldnt.
lol, glad to see the dev's no they're porn stars...thanks for the help ![]()
The porn names work, just cant have the title with it.
So now its like Jenna - MA seller,
Or Brianna Banks - Weapons,
ect ect
*you CAN use a - in a droid name, but no spaces
*Droid names are Case sensitive (I've named one BuyMeFromEvad)
*The same name filter for PCs is used for droids, so you cannot name them after a character from movies or EU or something like Angel or Devil because it goes against the naming rules (for a detailed look at the naming convention rules see the rules and policies on main website)
*you cannot use numbers or any other characters in a droid name
hope this helps
