A holo just told me to master merchant. So I just picked up the artisan tree and see i have to start crafting. What items can i start with that will yield the most xp per item. Please don't flame me and tell me to see FAQ. I looked and could not find.

Thank you very much

I did mineral survey devices till Engineering III and then did harvesters to finish up. All in practice mode. The xp goes fast. The Survey tree requires you to survey which can be done while you do things around the house.

Just FYI, you only get the access fee xp once per 10 minutes per person. So if one person walks in and pays the fee, you won't get any xp from that person paying for access until ten minutes later. If you go this route, the easiest way to set it up is allow access for 10 minutes. That way, if they're early they don't get the fee prompt since they're still in their paid period.

You will eventually need to craft grind to get to Business IV. At business II you set up a house with an access fee and maybe pay folks to walk in every 10 minutes.

Once you get that first vendor set up, you can craft small items like batteries and change the name to "Offer me to Vendor at (shop coordinates) for 100c!" or some such amount and hand it out to newbies/beggars. The catch is you have to accept the offered back items. Just make sure some numbnutt isn't trying to offer it back for 100k.

Once you hit Novice Merchant, just go up the Management tree first and place the maximum number of vendors for xp per hour.

Btw, don't grind personal harvesters- they don't give general crafting anymore (Wind does, but then you'd need to grind to Eng 4, which is the same grind to Bus 4 anyway...)

Uh, yes, they still do. Just did a personal gas harvester and it gave general crafting exp.

BUT!

In order to get Novice Merchant you need Merchant xp not crafting xp, so when you hit Business 3 you should put down a vendor (even if it is empty) to start generating Merchant xp (you can also charge an entrance fee on your house at business 1 which will also get you Merchant xp)

Hmmmmm it's been so long since I went up through the business tree I don't remember how I did it. I just planted my first house last week and still haven't set up a vendor. Do you get business XP from using the Bazaar?

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?
