1) Instead of creating and destroying, click the "Practice" button on the last crafting window. This gives you a 5% xp bonus, and does not create the item in your inventory. Just remember to uncheck it when/if you go to actual create something.

2) The more resources an item uses up, the more xp you get. Once you hit Eng III you get the personal harvester schematics, which give 450 xp (or so) each. These used to give structural xp(needed to get to Novice Architect), but were changed to general crafting xp a few months ago. With a large enough resource stack, you can grind these to get to any elite crafting profession in an evening.

3) Use more than one crafting tool. You

Stupid friggin tab key...

3) Use multiple crafting tools. You have to wait for the tool to finish the current item before starting a new one (even when you're in practice mode), but if you have a second tool you can start a new item with that one while the first is still manufacturing. Depending on the item complexity (more complicated items take longer) and how fast you can click a mouse, 3-5 tools should allow you to finish an item in the last tool just as the first one empties out.

I know this has proably been discussed a dozen times, and if you want to point some links for me to follow and read that's great.

I need to build up general crafting points 28800 and well it took me weeks to get the 6k I needed for Engineering IV. I'm trying to get into droid engineer.

So what's the keys for getting generic crafting xp?

What are the good things to build to get high amounts of XP?

In case you haven't gotten the clue yet I'm tired of making muzzles and destroying them.

thanks!

Bone armor chest plates were the old favorite. I don't know if there's much else that's quicker.

Problem is you need lots of bone.
