Thread: While we are talking about vehicles...
Am I the only one who hates the fact you need to exit your vehicle to survey? I just findexiting a vehicle each time to be really monotonous and a pain in the rear and not fun. If it is a technical issue, fine. If it is a design issue....well, what's the point? You could also have a rule where your vehicle must be still for 5 seconds or so.
This is something I would really like to see changed.
Good point about the macro.
But I figured if the developers were changing the camp requirements for vehicles, then they can look at this one while they are at it.
Macro for vehicle-surveying for anyone who's interested (I use an alias):
/alias msm /target Speederbike; /dismount; /pause 2; /survey; /pause 1; /mount;
adjust the vehicle name for the type of vehicle you use, and adjust the pauses for how laggy your connection is (more lag requires longer pause).
Then just type /msm whenever you're stopped on your bike and want to survey again for a resource. You can even see the percentages around you if you don't close the survey window from the first time you opened it.
If you're a scout and you like to mask your scent, use this (same, but use /mask instead of /survey), and use different alias name:
/alias mmm /target Speederbike; /dismount; /pause 2; /mask; /pause1; /mount;
then just type /mmm while riding your bike, and you'll mask your scent in about 4 seconds.
... and dont forget about mask scent!
I remember one reply TH answered to someone asking if it was a bug or design feature that a person on a mount could not operate a harvestor. TH said it was by design. Yet we can operate harvestors fine on a vehicle. By design also? If it is, then what is the logic to this design? and with the dismount warming, it aggrevates the situation more.
