Ok I know it will sound very stupid and Im sorry about it, but how do I get surveying exp? I have like 6 or 7 survey tool of different type, I tried using them all one after the other, then I sampled ressources, etc etc but my exp wont move, got nothing at all.

You need to sample to get survey experience, heh.

To be more specific, you need to successfully sample to get xp. A failed sample attempt won't get you anything. Finding resources awards 20-50xp, depending somewhat on the sample size.

I survey once and then run a macro such as sample;/pause 400;/sample...

just keep repeating that until it fill enough time up for like 8 hrs. Im sure there is an easier macro but I am not a macro genius and this was the best I could figure out.

Here is a macro for getting Surveying XP

/sample;

/pause 7;

/sit;

/pause 17;

/stand;

/pause 7;

/ui action toolbarSlot##

replace ## with the number slot you place the macro to loop it.

This pauses you long enough to let you HAM recover before sampling again.

Just type /dump to stop the macro when you have done.

Hey, I'm in the same boat you are! What server are you on, I'd be happy to do some surveying missions with another fellow artisan.

I'm on Scylla in the Corellia system, working around the city of Tyrena.

Have learned a little bit about surveying and crafting, but could use some extra help/effort from a friend. I haven't tried the macro's yet, but I may set one up tonight to run so thatI can get some of the better range and surveying options.
