Consider this, i make say, 15 cross server lot trades. The harvesters are placed in an area pretty much all together. nowi cant move these, they are permanent here. oh yea these are Heavies minerals. I can pull up on a decent concentration alot of materials for example, say i get a 70% on all harvester perimeters. and my harvs have a BER of 13kg/hr, this means,

13 units per minute x 60 min/hr = 780 units per hr

780 x 24 hours = 18,720 (this would be on a 100% concentration, the actual is 70% or that)

18,720 x 70% = 13,104 units per day.

13,104 x 150 harvesters = 1,965,600

lets say on average this resource type is up for 5 days - 9,828,000 units in a 5 day period

this is disgustingly gross, now understandable this person has cross traded lots and cannot move them as per his agreement, but honestly how can i be a surveyor with this guy around. certainly its fair within the rules of the game, but i still think something should be done.

even on a 50% vein you would still get 7 million+ units, honestly insane.

not trying to whine, just merely asking a question.

Believe me, i've seen it, a seemingly endless field of heavy mineral harvesters.

so whudya you surveyors out there think?

I foresee a limit on the number of structures you can have admin rights to in the future.

Cross-server lots are a huge risk. Those times when there's nothing but minute garbage in the area really makes up for the good times. Long term they can be profitable, but inconsistant. I only have a few lots to play with but if I keep on top of the shifts and hunt down the good stuff, I can be just as profitable as the guy pulling up 20 lots worth of random garbage. By the way, I'm also in favor of certifications for harvesters, mediums at novice and heavies/specials at Survey I but for purely selfish reasons.

its not about finding a new spot i know that there are many spots out there with concentrations sufficient for placing harvesters.

and yes where these harvesters are the concentration is always good but all they need is one good concentration and in five days blammo. it would take a hell of alot longer for me to get nearly 10 million units with only 8 harvesters.

this guy can saturate the resource market in 5 days considering he's lucky.

the devs want a player controlled market and they are getting it, but i think this will discourage new accounts simply because they cannot compete, it seems the "free market" economy has become very expensive. this is prevalent with new players who want to be crafters, they must grind to master in order to be able to compete with masters. it is a must.

now this within the parameters of the rules of the game is fine, but will cause many problems if these cross server lot trades get out of control.
