Chemical Survey until Engineering III then use Personal mineral extractors to finish off artisan or to get novice in any other elite crafter profession.

I find that if you need some easy grinding and you dont have many resources left, Wind Current Survey Devices are good xp/resource unit as well. Grinding extractors can get pretty resource intensive
