Thread: Crafting sessions ending unwanted! Tell me this is a bug!
I am also new to artisan and have this happened. I don't have a factory yet so making lots of items I figured I would use several crafting machines at same time. However, like you I found that when one finished it closed the other ones I had opened. Not sure if this is a bug or it is supposed to be this way.
True true, no I didnt have to triple post, my enter button is simply faster than my mind, sorry. I hope you weren't too hurt by that...jeez.
Yes you can level faster IF you are a veteran or more established player who can get the fairly sizable amount of metals and ore for the harvesters, but if you were a newby this would be a different story. Agreed I got through it in less than two hrs once I got eng 3 but you can imagine what newby artisans are thinking with the steep resource prices on the bazaar.
Is it the end of the world, no of course not. However does that make it ok? I say no. Just because I could get through the skills in one night doesn't mean I shouldn't care about others, especially when the logic behind it is so assbackwards.
Are you using a macro? If so, does the macro contain /nextCraftingSession; 3 times? If it does, try putting it in only twice and don't stand next to a crafting station. I had this problem once, but took out that extra line, didn't have any problems after that. It could have been that or it could've been me making another item.
I noticed it when I was grinding out survey tools, but not when doing adv. biological controllers for med xp.

Precisely the reason why I take a moment to think before I hit the submit button. If I realize I have something more to add, I'll add it. If I realize I am not really contributing anything to the discussion, I'll delete my post and not reply at all. But no, don't worry, I wasn't too hurt by that. Though I am touched by your concern for my mental well-being.

Which brings me to the point of my argument: would you really want to play a game in which you could progress from "Total Newbie" to "Master of Some Profession" in one evening? As I see it, that is one of THEbiggest problems facing our beloved game today: we have so many "Masters," yet so little people who even BEGIN to understand all the intricacies of their chosen profession(s). Now, Holocrons are to blame for a lot of this, true... but not all of it. Just read some of the posts on the front page of ANY of the profession forums. I am seeing FAR too many posts that read, "Well I just mastered <insert random profession here>, and <insert newbie question here>." (For instance, http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=artisan&message.id=28682)
Now, I'm not saying that you should know everything there is to know about a profession before you master it, but I mean come on... 1 night for someone to go from complete newbie to Master Artisan (even if it is only a "beginner" profession)?
P.S. To whoever 1-starred me, I understand that people may disagree with me. I understand that I may even be wrong sometimes (indeed, so wrong to the point that I deserve 1 star. But you could at least respond to my post if you're going to give me a rating like that? Unless of course it was you Binstubbs... ![]()
