Yes the new personals experimented to BER4 (8 or 9 for wind) will draw as much resource as the old mediums AND COST LESS power and maintenance in the process.
Yes, people are still stupid enough to buy (and use) the old ones. But my ethics preclude my trying to sell them. Mine were destroyed. People are stupid enough to try to sell BER1 personals (how they come out with zero experimentation) tho I don't know if the stupid market is buying them.
In reality its not stupidity so much is uninformed masses and unethical people profitting from them. Gee, SWG is just like the real world after all!

That's what I figured.
I ended up with a 1 BER personal the other day, but that was after 2 critical failures in experimentation. I practiced on that one. Then the next one I made with 4 BER I forgot to un-practice. Argh!!!
Heck, now I'm going to need to buy a new solar plant too.

Unfortunately, I'm still using the yucky old ones. Why? Well my favorite architect quit, my other favorite started hologrinding, and I can't seem to get my hands on the new ones.

I played SWG a while ago, then quit. I recently got an email about the two weeks free trial so I thought I'd give it a shot again. It looks a lot better now, some of the annoyances that led me to quit have been taken care of.
Anywho, my question today. I've got a couple of medium mineral extractors that I had before with BER of 4. Now that experimentation does something for them, I've got a bunch of personal mineral extractors with a BER of 4. Are these going to give me the same extraction rates as the old mediums? If so, is anybody stupid enough to buy the old ones, or should I just trash them?
