I am new and dont understand the the numbers under metal etc?
cr
conduct
decay resistance
heat resis
malleability
over all quality
shock resistance
unit toughness
I am confused on all of this. If their is a post allready can somebody link it. What aspects do each class need from the above term. Does one need more malleability whileanother needs unit toughness?

Being a novice Architect I would think you would understand this. Those numbers are used in determining how good the products you create are. A high UT is need for better installations and components for those installations. Take for example a structure unit. Its main consideration for how good it is, is the UT. If the metal and Ore you use has a high UT then it will be a good module which translates to a better wall unit when you use the ten structure units and some more ore to make that wall. Makes experimenting on it easier too. Just like conductivity, my char on tempest has copper with 1000 CD. Therefore I can make crafting tools with a +15.00 effectiveness because they only use CD for the experimentation value.

Open your data pad. Select the Draft Schematics tab. Select a schematic. Now read. In the description of the item the schematics represents you can see which material attributes are important. If you can see something like "Expermintal durability: Conductivity 100%" that means that conductivity is the only important attribute for durability. If you see something along the lines of "Experimental efficiency: Overall Quality 66%, Unit Toughness 33%" it means that the overall quality of the material influences efficiency by 66% and unit toughness influences it by 33%. It also seems lika a high value for malleability makes experimenting easier -- a high malleability stat for a material used in crafting will reduce the risk of failure during experimentation.
Oh, and higher values are better. Stats range from 1 to 1000.
All of this is in the Holocron (Ctrl-H ingame).
