I created my first vendor about 40 hours ago. The bulky Business III kind. Added 10k credits of maintenance. Loaded 600k worth of stuff into it, checked the maintenance again, still 15 credits per hour, good for about 30 days. Ok, so I went on playing, not minding the vendor. Just minutes ago, I read the Artisan FAQ and found that the maintenance "should" be 1/1000 of the stock value, per 45 minutes! That would make my maintenance pool last for about 12.5 hours, and thus gone since about 28 hours. ACK!

My questions are:

1) Does the "1/1000 of stock value per 45 minutes" rule stil apply (the FAQ was sort of old, was not updated regarding this issue and searching the forum for "vendor maintenance" maxes out on results with the newest entries at least 6 months old)?

2) What happens to a vendor and the goods on it when maintenance runs out?

2) The vendor like a structure starts to take damage and all you have to do is repay the damage fee and it goes back to 100%. I guess if it goes to zero it poofs, like structures.

The FAQ still reads

"Q: Why is my bulky vendor so expensive to run?

A: Currently the vendor's maintinence is determined by the total value of items on that vendor. 1/1000 of the total value of those items is charged to you every 45 minutes. Get the Merchant profession and get an NPC vendor to avoid these astronomical vendor fees."

I read every follow-up post and didn't see anything about maintenance being lower. It might still be there, though, I could very well have missed it. But in any case, perhaps a new FAQ posting would be in order. Thanks for the help, though!
