Greetings all. I'm a new artisan so sampling is still my primary means of gathering resources (I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices people are asking). I have been experimenting with macros and with Surveying III I appear to have a maximum inventory capacity of 2066 units of whatever using this method. Anyone else seen this, is it new or am I totally n00bin this?

I've got multiple 100k stacks of resources so I don't know why you can only have a stack of 2066.

Rediculous prices???? you are having this trouble and are asking why we charge what we do? Evenwhen you can gather more than 2066 units after several hours (read as days) of this let me know why we charge less. My god, the places you have to go to gather and setting up harvesters... blah, blah, blah. You will understand!

I sometimes AFK sample all night, when something special spawns right in the middle of a city. There have been times when I come back, to find that I am holding 6k of a resource. Your "limit" is probably just some anomaly, and logging out and back in would probably fix it.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

I've seen this happen once or twice with one of my artisans. It's a bug, it's moderately rare, and logging out for 15-20 minutes fixed it when it happened to me.

As for insane pricing, it depends on who you buy from. If you dig through the bazaar, you'll find that some people still charge 3cpu or less for common materials. You'll have to do a lot of wading to get past the people who want 10cpu for junk, though.

If money is that tight, go to either Dee'ja Peak or Moenia, Naboo and start picking up crafting missions between the two - you can recognize them easily because they pay around 1300 credits. At ~1300 credits per mission, four missions per round trip, it's some of the easiest money a starting artisan can come by, and a good sum for buying appropriately priced junk materials.
