Thread: Power up Randomness is aggrivating. Ive had enough!

This is plain stupid.
Everything else thats crafted in the game is accurate. You know what youre going to get depending on your experimentation skill and resources. Powerups are not and make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Ive been trying to make a speed powerup for the past hour. Ive used every possible ranged powerup (mainly barrels) and still no speed powerup. Its plain ridiculous.
Just make each one a specific powerup and be done with it!

Sounds like you're having a spot of bad luck. I always make Couplers when I'm going for a speed powerup, usually doesn't take too long to get one.
I see you're an old-timer, when it starts getting you down that much just remember the old days of powerup crafting, when you couldn't do them in factories and you couldn't see any stats until the item was completed. Those were the days!

I agree with kasuta on this. I have good luck getting speed powerups with Couplers. Give them try.

After a while I was able to get speed and dmg with couplers. I used to do it with barrels months ago though so it obviously changed. It still took a bit of doing though.
Now Im trying to get the dmg and speed on the 1 melee powerup and cant do it. After a while I started to experiment and got a speed, max dmg and min dmg secondary stats, but no primary (30+) dmg/speed stats.
Is it even possible to do 30+ dmg/speed melee powerups? I looked in the bazzar and only saw secondary dmg/speed too.

No it's not possible.

That gives a rather nice list of what each particular type of powerup can have as stats. So don't even bother trying to get a primary speed on melee, since it's simply impossible. The primaries on melee are actually completely useless, aside from the mind cost one.
