Thread: More noob questions
I decided to help a friend out and get into the harvesting business. No big deal in picking up novice artisan and going out and finding the stuff. I do have a couple of questions for the DEVs and the fellow artisians.
To the artisians:
1. How much power does a medium and heavy harvester eat per day? Is this dependant upon the potential energy of the power used? If so, in what way?
2. How often do resource shifts occur?
3. What level of surveying do you need to get the range up on the survey tools?
4. Does the 60 maintanence really mean 60 credits per hour, or is there some weird formula that it is run through before subtracting from the money you put in the harvester?
To the DEVs:
1. Why can harvesters only be placed on absolutely flat ground? Does the SW galaxy not have civil engineers? It isn't a graphics engine problem because scout camps reform the terrain when they are set-up. Are you telling me that a scout camp is more likely to have terrian reformed for it than a fusion-ion generator?
2. With the above question in mind, why do resources spawn in places where NO ONE can place a harvester? I am not refering to the in town spawns. Why do I find a 76% resource sweetspot on the side of a mountian or in the middle of a river? This is annoying.
I don't mind spending an hour or two finding resources, but I wasted 8 hours of my time looking for crap over the last two days because the stuff I needed spawned on mountianious planets. Running around with a sample tool is not my idea of fun.
To keep this simple.. Best thing to do is read through this post.
