Artisan Archive

Hey folks,

I'm on the Scylla server, and I've recently reached 4-4-4-4 under the artisan skill tree.I'm now trying to get the necessary apprentice skill points needed for MA. I'm currently @ 480 apprentice points, but I seem to have run out of people to teach. Forgive the "n00bishness" of the question, but is there any other way to obtain these points? Or am I relegated to having to bounce from city to city, planet to planet, and /shout for people willing to let me teach them?

Yeah, I'm kinda a noob myself. It was darn near impossible, I only got to about 300 myself legitimately. There seem to be very few new players and even fewer people doing artisan. I picked up an extra copy of the game and started teaching my second character. Grindingharvestors after engineer III andforgetting and learning domestic arts and business I got done in about 30min. Not on your server or I'd help you out, but that's what I recommend. Find someone to help you out by grinding harvestors (who has about 100 skill points to spare) or get a second account. Kinda sucks, some parts of the game weren't thought through very well like howin the heck you are supposed to get AXPnow.Other parts (like resource variety) are great so you just have to take the good with the badI guess.

The problem on Bria seems to be that every other person in the starports is a Master Artisan... TEACHING 4/4/4/4 ARTISAN!

Come on guys! We know app points can go to any profession, but save some for us! lol

I actually saw someone "selling app points" for 1k per 10 points. Made me sad... Especially when I considered it after no luck in 3 or 4 starports.

Hrmm.. judging from the two responses so far... I starting to get a sense of dread about ever reaching MA. How are professions ever supposed to reach Master status in ANY profession when no one needs training?

Eventually, you will find enough. Just be sure to wear the highest tag you have, so you get the most coming to you. I wear Engineer around.

It doesn't attract as many as "Master Artisan", but you gotta start somewhere.

All new players start in mos eisley on tatooine so go to the newbie spawn point in front of the starport and you will see people asking to be trained. Note I took all 6 starter professions (down to 3 now) and have max'd out app exp 3 times have 1240 now have trained at least that again but being max'd I do not get the exp now.
