Thread: vehicle prices
Depends on the price of your commodity... in this case metal.
If your commodity is worth 3cpu then sell your vehicles around 4-5cpu (or 6k). Initial demand will be high so price them higher than that until your sales slow down. Advertising is a must.
I charge 2/unit of resource required to make a vehicle.
Othere whom are arrogant may protest this, but i get my own materials, and i use good stuff to make vehicles.
I'd say it all depends on what you can get materials for a what you think you time is worth.
Personally, since I can sell those same materials on the bazaar for 3cpu ... I'm going to be selling future vehicles at 4cpu and see how it goes. Once again, this is for materials of whatever quality I have on hand at the time. If someone wants especially good materials, I can supply those ... but it'll cost more and will probably be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
(Especially since I made about 24k today in sales of a steel that had four stats over 900. Much less stress ... basically just put them up on the Bazaar and go do something else while my resources sell themselves.)
Bloodfin has sales that are at 5cpu and as high as 10cpu
30-55k for landspeeders
35-65k for speeders
40-80k for the swoops
most of this depends on the experimented HAM percentages
On Lowca, I sell mine quite frequently at the following prices:
- Landpeeder - 40K
- Speeder Bike - 50K
- Swoop Bike- 60K
I also sell them quite well in crates of 5, where you buy 4 and get the fifth free.
i base mine off of the expermental ham value. the higher the percentage, the higher the price. i only would sell at 2c/u if someone provided the materials or i was grinding with low quality material. otherwise i would sell the raw resource on the bazaar at a lot higher price.
Oh, and low ham and experimental value means a realy easly destroyed vehicle with high repair rates. customers don't like repairing every two hours nor buying a new vehicle every few days because it was cheaply made.
Intrepid you can find em on the vendors for:
Speeder bikes : 17 - 25k
Swoop Bikes 25 -35k
Landspeeders 15 - 20k
On Flurry I'm seeing steel and aluminum often priced about the "standard" 3c per unit. Nevertheless, I use 3c as the basis of my calcs. I do have personal extractors for resources, but I have to buy sometimes also.
I can't see selling anything for 2c per unit. To me that would be operating at a loss. Not criticizing, just saying it wouldn't work for me to do that. I shoot for 4c per resource, giving me 1c of profit. But I can be flexible based on the market.
But never for less that 3c.

Also I mastered Artisan the other night and itsaid on my skill tree that I can make an X-34 but I cant seem to find it to craft in my weapon, droid and general crafting tool, though the speeder and the swoop bike is there??!!

I price my vehicles as follows (on Bloodfin):
Swoops- 32.5k
Speederbikes - 27.5k
Landspeeder - 22.5k
To see the X34 Landspeeder make sure you are staning close to an Public or Private Weapon, Droid, Generic Crafting station...it should show up then.
