I was just curious, I know some people do this so they can place more harvestors. But with static lots the resources are not always going to be available at that location. I have been tossing the idea back and forth and was just curious how common it is and in what numbers?

I believe it is fairly common. On intrepid there are 2 individuals who run static farms of 200 harvestors. I personally have 15 static lots 10 from cross server,5 from PA members (10 harvestors 2 house 3 factory). I know a lot of people use the static lots for houses and factories. I am too paranoid to use lot trades for my storage house, I have heard of too many people loosing millions when they lose a storage house.
Even with static farms you can make money. With good percentages your costs go as low as 0.3 cpu or so. So even at only 30-40% concentration your cost is under 1 cpu. Figuring you can sell stuff for a minimum of 2 cpu it still makes sense. Then when something good does come along, you can really cash in.
Please note, that many on this forum consider cross server lot trades an exploit. I think cross server lot swaps are bad, but yes I do have 1 trade for 10 lots. It is expected that the devs may be doing 2 things in the near future to eliminate this practice:
1. Limiting the amount of lots per account.
2. Changing the admin rules on harvestors so that only the owner can do certain functions.

Understood. Where is a real estate profession when you need one? The only reason I was thinking about it was because as a merchant with vendors it would be nice to have an additional lot. Too bad that merchant tent you get doesn't come with it's own lot.
