Hello, can anyone please help me with this:
I can't seem to get the schematic menu up on my Equipment Factory (I'm on the Admin and Hopper list, so it's not that) and it was working OK yesterday?
Thanks

....worked out that it might be the fact that I have no schematics in my datapad...

That will also happen if you're standing in front of the wrong type of factory. The dumbest thing I think I've ever done in the game is to try and make fiberplast panels in an equipment factory...and I've been a Master Artisan for a very, very long time. Nothing funnier than the realization that you've just wasted 10 minutes of play time and neatrly submitted a bug report due to your own blatant stupidity.

I've definetly got you beat there...3 days, and a bug report...
Then again, my fiberplast and copper was showing up in the factory as wheat so I just blame that.

I did the same thing, wrong factory. Instead of getting mad I went and took a nap and when I woke up I realized my problem. Had it fixed two hours after the problem. I would have pulled my hair out if it had taken three days.

Ok, I've made plenty of factory runs; Droid Brains, Manip Arms, Motivators, Sensors... Now I'm trying to do Combat mods, just a 25 run.
I have 25 droid brains in the input hopper, more than enough copper and and gas. I start the run, it says it's activated. Each item will take 240 seconds, it says when I examine. But after a few minutes, nothing has been made, and the station has stopped. No messages or anything.
The droid brains are not in a crate, is there something obviously wrong that I'm doing?
Thanks.

I think I just realized why. The droid brains don't have the same serial # as the one needed for the combat module schematic.

are the droid brains identical?
basically if the brains are in crates they are identical.
If you have hand-crafted them they are not... you must have brains identical to the one you use when you make the schematic to make a factory run.

Yes, my last post indicated that I figured it out.
I had made plenty of factory runs with just raw materials and not components, so wasn't aware of the necessity of having the components have the same serial number.
In the real world you would NOT want identical items to have the same serial number. Model number, yes, but not serial number. That's why it seemed odd to me.
Thanks for the reply though.

Happens all the time. I had a patch with three different numbers and couldn't understand why it wasn't making anything. then I saw I was using some old stuffand new stuffl. good thing was I made the run with the new so I just had to remove the old run of mod creates. it happens

just remember one thing... if you start a large run of components and stop in the middle to pick some out those are gonna have a different S# from the ones being produced when you start it again.

No they don't Ogge. All items run from the same Schematic have the same serial number. It doesn't matter how many times you start/stop the factory.
And you don't need to stop the factory to pull from the outbut hopper. Just select the Title, rather than where it says "Stop Manufacturing" and the output hopper comes up.
