As master artsian I decided long ago to limit myself to just ONE vendor as I didn't see the need to divide my products up when itwas all coming from just one profession (I should add thatI was a master merchant at the time and had all the options to add more vendors).
So, on this ONE vendor I had just over 2000 items of mostly Artisan wares and some loot items. Alot of my stuff is in crates with a few products broken up for single uses.
As you now know, with these new changes, A Master Artisan can only have a max or 250 items on a vendor.
So I was well aware of what I was going to face and knew that I was going to have a hard time placing 2000 itmes.
But i didn't quite prepare myself for the final out come. As i brought up my vendor screen I saw that 75% of my items had just finished up their run, so my stockroom had about 1500 items on a 7 day time period
WHICH means that I had 7 days to figure out what to do with my stock...
The only good thing was that there was was just under 500 items still left for sale.
So at least my vendor was empty..
Nowhere I was, with all this stock on my hands and no place to put it, I couldn't add anything, nor could I delete my products.... Hence I did the only thing I could do.... I dropped my scouting skills and rushed to the nearest merchant trainer and got novice..... now I had 750 items to play with instad of 250....
Back at my vendor I scaned threw my wares in the stockroom... i noticed I had alot of loot....so with a heavy sighI got rid of all the crappy loot that was not selling... such +1 & +2 attchments, rare clothing (tusken and vests) etc....
Afterdoing all this, I was able to rid myself of just over 300 items (it hurt to delete alot of this, but most of it wasn't selling anyway, so it balenced out).
Next I took look at what was selling on my vendor at the moment. Here i trimed out alot of things as well, such as grinding resources and items that just wasn't selling. i ended up droping a little over 200 items here, once again the bulk being loot.
in all it took me about 4 hours to trim and cut my vendor down... and now... i have a leaner.. vendor with 90% of being crafted items....
As i sat back looking at what i did It dawned on me... these changes are really good... its going to really put focus on the crafting market now as a whole...
Yes I'm sad i had to drop some skills to make room for shop NEEDS.....
Yes I will have to raise my prices on some item to make up for loss....
but the outcome will mean less empty vendors, more focused "player crafted" items... and a more enjoyable competitive market....
anyway... I'm ok with it all... I guess that is all that counts...

You know I agree, this has finally forced people to clean out thier goofy collections of stone knives, reb/imp plans, looted clothing and the millions of junk items taking up space on the vendors.
I LOVE pub 10!

I filter search vendors on the planetary map on Corellia - 6 show up. All are packed with the items they say it would supply.
Shopping just got easier.

Unfortunately, advertising is broken for those of us that CAN advertise too.
Those few merchants who's ads actually show up on the map are sure to make a fortune until they fix this.
