No one else can give you a BEST answer.
Everyone plays the game differently and has fun for different reasons.

If you find combat fun, do it.

If you find crafting fun, do it.

If you find entertaining fun, do it.

It's a game. PLAY it.

And if you ultimately can't pick a playstyle you like better, buy a 2nd account and do both.

That's what I did. I have a MCH, MRM, MScout and Master Merchant, Master Architect, Master Artisan, because I like both Equally.

Drop off all winnings to:

Hi, I've lately been wondering what is most interesting/satisfieing/rewarding. Combat professions or Crafting professions. I want to hear some arguments for why crafting is better. Thanks.

I prefer the best of both worlds and hit things over the head with my crafting tools.

Yeah, me personally.. I like to craft chance cubes and then try to peg Thrill Lizards with them!

noone can say one is better then the other for your own profession, only you.

and if you have to be convinced to do one or the other, you should do neither, because clearly you forgot how to play
