I've always enjoyed mining for resources in this game. The biggest problem I have is figuring out which resources are rarer than others and which are more in demand. Has anyone ever compiled a concise list of those specific resources needed by crafters and what properties of the resource I should be focusing on? For example, Doctors require Lokian Wild Wheat to craft Advanced Biological Effect Controllers and the important properties of the wheat are the Potential Energy and the Overall Quality.

I know SWGCraft.com has some of this information under the Resource Usage and Skill tree links, but I'm looking for a single list instead of having to look through each schematic or resource to determine those 'specifically needed' resources and/or which attributes are important.

Any thoughts?

The stuff that is most valuable is the rare stuff needed for high level in demand items, especially weapons like the T-21 or weapon components like advanced power handlers.

Thanks Magic-Juan for the info. One thing, are there headers for that list? I'm not sure if I understand the multiple columns...

The multiple columns tell the configs that are required for specific items. For instance a certain pistol might needploysteel copper with high CD and high OQ, however a certain melee weapon might need polysteel copper with a high SR. So polysteel copper say with 900+ CD and 900+ OQ would probably be valuable as well as a polysteel copper with a 900+ SR. A polystell copper that had high CD OQ and SR would be even more valuable to a weaponsmith since it could be used in both weapons.

Consider asking some of the higher level crafters on your server as to what is needed and what is hard to get, etc. Every server is different, duralloy steel is very hard to come by on some servers, whereas on others, it is readily available. You might also check the trade forums for your server and see what's selling well, or what people are looking to buy.
