What would you say the most common mineral thats purchased in bulk? I've got one fusion and 7 Minerals to work with. Basically I'm just looking for the resource that seems to be the in the highest demand. Thanks

Any type of metal, steel/copper/aluminum. Or ore, back when i used to sell resources i would just do a search for architects and they would buy all my ore in a second

I'd say Steel(or any metal), Fiberplast and Ore in no particular oder.

Ore is big, but I haven't located ore in very high percentages so it uses up more mineral extractors. I charge a little more to defray the cost but it's still not as profitable as metal, at least at the price ranges I'm using.

iput some mines on some inert petro and that's all my vendor ever seems to keep on it for any length of time. Everything else sells out pretty quick.

Meat goes really fast too, especially the higher quality stuff with like 950+ PE and OQ.

For those of you who have mined Ore in the past, how much do you charge? I've been selling steel and aluminum for 3-4 cpu depending on quality. Since Ore is never as highly concentrated as the other minerals it seems that one should charge more than the other metals. If not, hard to justify mining ore - more profitable to do steel or aluminum.

Thoughts?

I started out charging 2.5 cpu for everything, then found out that was a losing deal and not worth the effort.

Now I charge 3 cpu for everything other than ore, which I charge at 4 cpu, but even then the ore is hardly worth it because it's mined in such low percentages. The highest I've found was a little over 60%. Locating some type of metal at 85+% on the other hand is relatively easy. I'm currently not mining any ore but I'm looking for a good place to start mining some.

Don't waste your time mining Ore, I'd say.

As an Architect, I'm lucky to get 3cpu for *finished* structures that use large quantities of Ore. (Small house for 13.5k anyone? 4cpu.) So given the choice, I'll mine my own, and then think about buying in for the other, more scrappy stuff; Reactive Gas, Copper, etc.

I'd get laughed at if I tried to buy in resources and then add a profit for my own work and time.

The way to make ORE woth while is to mine with heavies and with alot of them. on a spot as close to 60% or more as possible. then sell the ore at 3cpu or 4. you will pull about 100k a day min. wich has covered your cost of maint and power and left you about 200k in profit. but if you get in on the first day of spawn and run for 8 days you can imagine what your profit will be..

Cyrac, didn't mean to get your thread off track, sorry about that. I would concentrate on steel first, then aluminum and copper. Steel at any quality is bringing in 3 cpu these days, my guess is that consumption is way up due to the large number of "holo grinders". Better quality Steel, Aluminum and Copper will easily bring in 3.5 or 4 cpu. I'm mining Ore this week, first time for me, and probably my last. Doesn't seem to be worth it given its low concentrations and average prices.

Good luck!

With the holocraze, it's steel andTat fiberplast.

Can I chime in here?

I need ore, and I have a hard time finding it. In particular, I need extrusive ore, and my own two free lots are insufficient to meet my own demand for it.

Noone wants to mine and sell this stuff, it seems, but I'll tell you what: I'm finding myself forced to raise droid prices and keep stock down as a consequence of this.

I'd pay good money for extrusive ore, and for siliclastic, too, if I could just FIND it on the vendors.
