I cant seem to find anything above 30% of any type of resoruces, I sued to be able to get up 85% and sometimes 90%+ on radioactive. This was with Survey3 and 4. Now if I cant get anything higher then 0% that is completely usless, why would I want to lay down a 13r Heavy on it? Then why even keep Novice Artisan and Survey1 anymore? Besides teh ability to open each survey tool and see what the current resources are on each planet.

I just put my fusions down on an 89% vein. But the latest spawns have been a little strange. The problem with Survey I is that your range is horrible. Takes forever to chase down those good spots. You might consider paying a survey IV person to go out and find good spots for you.

Another tactic to use due tosurvey I's short range that really speeds up the processis to look for other harvs of the same type you're looking to place. Then stop and survey to see if they're on a good new spot, or an old not-so-good-anymore spot. If they're in a good place for what you happen to be looking for, drop yours next to them.

I use the guesswork technique, i.e. I survey, and run in the direction of the highpoint, overshoot by around 100M and survey again....95% of the time I was going in the right direction.

No need for high survey skill, just basic artisan.

I only have survey 1 and just placed 2 harvestors on 85% radioactive vien. Stuff moves around. Found the nice vein on Rori on Intrepid
